Aerial Lift Operator Training

This course is designed to ensure your operators are trained to safely operate an aerial or scissor lift. Each operator reviews factors affecting lift stability, operator responsibilities and the proper fit of personal protection equipment (PPE). Class participants take a written test and are required to bring appropriate PPE. Hands-on instruction for 1 piece of equipment includes performance of pre-start inspections, job site evaluation and proper lift operation.

  • Conducted at your site: $840 per class, includes up to 8 students; $105 per additional student; maximum class size of 12 students
  • Course length: 3 hours + hands-on evaluation for 1 piece of equipment; $30 per student for hands-on with additional equipment

Aerial Lift Train-the-Trainer

In addition to the coverage of aerial and scissor lift safe operating procedures, your trainer will review ANSI standards, classroom preparation and procedures for performing a hands-on evaluation.

  • Conducted at your site: $995 first student, $375 each additional student, includes trainer presentation and binder for each student
  • Course length: 6 hours, hands-on evaluation upon request

OSHA TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

Aerial lifts are useful for many applications, being found in warehouse settings or a construction site. Like other powered industrial trucks, training is vital to keep operators and product safe. Training is the responsibility of the employer and must:

  • Be provided by the employer prior to operation at the job site
  • Instruct operators about unsafe conditions & the elimination of hazards in the work area
  • Give general instructions regarding the inspection, application and operation of the aerial equipment
  • Be refreshed every 4 years
